feb.gif (9464 bytes)Another highlight of wedding receptions are  the times when individuals are able to make a few statements regarding the bride and groom.  In the entertainment industry, we like to call this special time, "The Toast."  Some are funny and cause people to laugh like little children, while other toasts are quite serious and before you know it, aunt Edna and Grandma Phyllis are grabbing for their purses, looking for something that resembles a tissue.  (Tears are flowing in abundance).

There are a couple of ways in which the toast(s) are given.  First, is the traditional toast.  The best man makes a few comments about the bride and groom.

Second, (and the most popular) is the "open toast."   The open toast allows for anyone in attendance to say a few words to the bride and groom in front of their friends and family.  This doesn't necessarily mean that they are all done at the same time.  Our party coordinator will announce that anyone wishing to say a few things to the bride and groom will have a chance to do so anytime throughout the evening.  Please make it brief and ALWAYS nice.

Here are just a few samples of toasts that are given with class and a little bit of style.  If you are using these for your upcoming reception, please don't let the bride or groom know that you have visited Mixxxit Productions website.

Traditional Toast #1:  "As you all know, today is a very special day, not only for the family members of __________________  but also the friends that are in attendance today as well."  "As this day comes to a close, just remember _______________,  that the people celebrating with you today, wish you the very best and hope that God continues to bless you abundantly." "Both of you are so special to each and every person in this room."   "We love you and are so happy to call you our friends."
